Rotary-At-Work Day Beach Clean-Up - April 23, 2022
Our "Rotary-At-Work" day at Kahe Point Beach Park was a great success!  Rotary Clubs from across the islands participated in clean-ups from the mountain ridges to the reefs on April 23, 2022.  We collected trash and data to help beautify our aina!  We had a bento breakfast to follow with some fun social time while enjoying the breathtaking view!

Kahe Point Beach Clean Up - February 19, 2022
RCKS members and "Friends of Rotary" gathered together to clean up Kahe Point (Electric) Beach Park over the holiday weekend.  We collected and properly disposed of more than 20 large bags of trash plus lots of misc items.  Afterwards we enjoyed breakfast bento meals as we relaxed and admired the amazing views!  This event was so popular that we plan to hold it every other month and hope to connect with other groups with similar goals of keeping west side beaches free of trash.  Mahalo to everyone!

Adopt-A-Highway - January 22, 2022
Members of our Rotary Club of Kapolei Sunset, along with a few of our "Friends of Rotary" enjoyed a beautiful sunrise as we picked up trash for our bi-monthly Adopt-A-Highway on Farrington Highway.  Breakfast and fellowship at Kalapawai Cafe in Kapolei afterwards made for a great way to start our Saturday!  Mahalo to all of our volunteers!
Holiday Gifts for US Vets, Women In Need, and Ho'omalu Children's Shelter - December 2021
Members of the Rotary Club of Kapolei Sunset (RCKS) and our RKCS "Friends of Rotary" members teamed up to spread holiday cheer to the U.S. VETS, Women In Need (WIN) home, and the Ho'omalu Children's Shelter.  We worked with our IPA Interactors (Rotary for high school) to assemble gift bags, toiletries, and many other needed items for each facility!

Back to School - August 2021!
 
Our Rotary Club of Kapolei Sunset members RULE!  We purchased backpacks and school supplies to help lift the SCHOOL SPIRIT of needy youth.  Our CLASS act members helped pack backpacks at the Salvation Army.  We hit the HONOR ROLL when we purchased and delivered school supplies to the Ho'omalu Children's Shelter.  And we get an A+ for supporting the Rotary Club of Ewa Beach at their "Back to School" drive at Walmart.  You can COUNT on Rotarians to help where there is a need!

Adopt-A-Highway July 24, 2021!
Rotary Club of Kapolei Sunset and Friends of Rotary teamed up to clean up our aina!  We hit the pavement at 6:00AM - bright and early to beat the summer heat!  We collected 26 bags of trash, countless tires, and even a shopping cart along Farrington Highway between Kapolei and Ko Olina.  Then we enjoyed the sweet reward of social time together at Kalapawai for breakfast!
6K for Water - May 22, 2021!
RCKS helped bring life-changing clean water to children in communities around the world and had fun at the same time!  We joined World Vision's 6K for Water on May 22nd and had friends and family participate all over the country.  We helped provide access to clean, healthy water to more than 46,200 people worldwide.  Mahalo to all that participated!

RCKS supports Women In Need (WIN)!
All year long, the Rotary Club of Kapolei Sunset provides welcome kits for the Women In Need (WIN) home.  Kits include brand new sheet sets, full size toiletries, reusable shopping bags, and more!  WIN believes in holistic healing to serve women with a history of domestic violence, substance abuse and incarceration.  Thank you to our Rotarian shoppers who keep the shelves stocked!
Walk for Polio May 1, 2021 and May 3, 2021!
 
Our RCKS members and friends walked to help "End Polio Now"!  This walk was to raise awareness of Rotary's efforts to help eradicate polio from the world.  See this inspiring video: https://cdn2.webdamdb.com/md_ATxV56VXabE1.mp4?1616510175  We walked for those who can't!  We gathered together with our friends on May 1st and May 3rd and took to the pavement to spread the word about Rotary's efforts across the globe.

Ridge to Reef Clean-up and Data Collection - April 24, 2021
 
Our Rotary Club of Kapolei Sunset and our Island Pacific Academy Interact Club (Rotary for high school age) teamed up to join the island-wide "Ridge to Reef Clean-up and Data Collection" for "Rotary At Work Day".  We did a clean-up right here in the city of Kapolei.

We were very excited to present the RCKS Hawaii Rotary Youth Foundation Scholarship to our winner, Makoa, on Monday!  Makoa plans to attend the University of Hawaii where he will study pharmaceutical sciences.
