RCKS partners with Poi Dogs and Popoki to help Trap, Neuter, and Release (TNR) feral cats in Kalaeloa!
RCKS is helping to control the cat colonies adjacent to the Barbers Point NEX gas station and other colonies in Kalaeloa by helping with the TNR events facilitated by Poi Dogs and Popoki.  TNR ensures no new kittens are born.  The cat population of the colony stabilizes and then decreases as cats live out their natural lives without reproducing.  Volunteers humanely trap the cats in a colony.  For large colonies, this may take a few TNR events.  Using mobile veterinary service vehicles, contracted veterinarians provide the spay and neuter surgeries, a micro chip, and also eartip the cats (the universal symbol of a neutered cat).
