"Cupcakes for a Cause" was a GREAT success! In honor of World Polio Day, our Rotary Club of Kapolei Sunset and our Island Pacific Academy Interact Club (Rotary for high school) held our 3rd annual "Cupcakes for a Cause" on Saturday, October 22, 2022 to raise funds to help End Polio Now! Rotary has been working to help eradicate polio for more than 35 years, and has made incredible progress in the fight to rid the world of it forever! Cases have been reduced by 99%, but until we end polio forever, every child is at risk. New cases have been reported in New York, Jerusalem, and London. We must stop the spread now! $1 from each cupcake sold was donated to the PolioPlus Foundation to help vaccinate vulnerable populations. Mahalo to all of our volunteers! |

We collected 40 bags of trash, numerous tires, a couple of oil barrels, many hazardous tanks, and much more. It's unfortunate that people use our roads as a dumping ground so an extra mahalo to our volunteers that take time out from their busy schedules to clean our aina. You da best!!!
